"On Standby" 30x15x1.5 mixed media features a tranquil coastal scene. Two prominent palm trees occupy the center and right side of the canvas, their textured trunks rising vertically and crowned with green fronds that gently spread out against the sky. The backdrop is composed of a calm blue sea meeting a clear blue sky at the horizon. In the foreground, a patch of vibrant green grass hints at the shore's edge.

Resting on the grass are three kayaks, angled to face the viewer. The nearest one, colored in bright blue with the word "PESCADOR" on it, sits upright, allowing us to see into its cockpit filled with gear. Behind it, another kayak lies on its side, revealing a white and deep blue color scheme. The left side of the painting shows part of an orange kayak, suggests more of the scene is out of view.
